Dr. Sarang Deshpande has completed his MS Orthopedics degree from Pune University and MCh Orth from Dundee University, UK. He has been practicing exclusively in the field of arthroscopy and joint replacement surgeries for the past 15 years.

He has undergone joint replacement surgery training under Dr. Hemant Wakankar at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune. He further pursued and enhanced his expertise in revision joint replacement surgery at Endo-Klinik, Hamburg, Germany under Dr. Wolfgang Klauser. He has gained a huge experience in infections in joint replacement surgery during his training at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, UK under Dr. Ben Clift.

He was exposed to arthroscopic surgeries from the beginning of his MS residency training. He has worked with Dr. Rajiv Arora from Sancheti Hospital, Pune to learn the technique and gathered the necessary skills in operating basic arthroscopic surgeries. He did a fellowship in advanced arthroscopic surgeries of knee, shoulder, hip & ankle joints at ARCUS SportKlinik, Germany. He enhanced his knowledge further and learned new modalities in joint cartilage preservation under the guidance of Dr. Ludwig Boes.

He has undergone training in surgeries for joint preservation. He has learned the intricacies of knee joint re-alignment surgery (High Tibial Osteotomy & Distal Femoral Osteotomy) under Dr. Alex Staubli from Switzerland. Similarly, he has gained a huge amount of experience under Dr. Wolfgang Miehlke, Germany, in hip joint preservation surgeries for femoral-acetabular impingement (FAI) via hip arthroscopy.
